After the funeral, there are many options for the urn’s placement, in consideration of several factors, including your loved one’s wishes, your family’s sentiments, and the distance family members live from one another.

• You may choose one of our urns to keep in a cemetery, church, or funeral home’s glass-front columbarium niche, where family and friends may visit in comfort.
• You may wish to keep your urn at home, as a constant and beautiful reminder of your departed loved one. Those who choose a Legacy urn usually intend it for display in their homes. Here it becomes a beacon of beauty and a graceful memorial to the lost loved one, compared with the fate of some traditional urns which, unfortunately for the family, will often go to the back of the closet.
• You may choose to bury the cremated remains, and give memorial keepsakes, such as a mini-urn or heart, to each family member. In the case where family members live at great distances from one another, it may be preferred to keep most of the ashes in a full size urn, and divide a portion of the ashes among several keepsakes, one for each member of the family.
• Or, the family might choose to scatter the cremated remains of their loved one, and keep a small portion of the ashes in a keepsake mini-urn, or in a piece of cremation jewelry. If scattering is your choice, it is advisable to learn if this is allowed in your chosen location prior to your scattering ceremony.
• Art glass hearts do not contain any ashes, and are small, meaningful mementos for children or grandchildren, which can be engraved on the back.
